A great day out, if you are tired of rude Parisians, go on this and see some other French people. They are not rude ! Reims has a beautiful cathedral and the Champagne cellar tours are very informative. I did not know that the champagne is 'born' in the bottle we buy :-) 2012-01-09 damianthedude , Wow! The tours were very informative, Moet and Chandon being my favorite of the two--less "props" and the presentation of the information made you feel closer to the end product, which I then appreciated that much more.
It's also a great way to acquaint yourself with the French countryside. I've been on two other day trips, and I really appreciated the narrative of what we were seeing out the window--very interesting, but not too much, they definitely let you take everything in (or sleep).
Practical notes: The bus tours were given in English and Spanish, and the cellar tours were given in English. Avoid going on Sundays or a holiday, such as Toussant's Day, when things will be closed and there's a smaller selection of restaurants and shopping in Reims and Epernay. Also, don't plan on food being readily available in the neighborhood before check-in.
