Each gondola holds maximum 6 passengers. There are approx. 10 gondolas per tour. The musician will board one of the gondolas to perform throughout the trip. Gondola serenades on the canals of Venice regularly sell out weeks in advance. Book ahead of time to avoid disappointment. A couple of quick things to note is that there are 6 people per boat (it's a shared boat) and the person serenading was only on one of the boats (not ours). That said, they park the gondolas next to each other, so it really doesn't matter on which boat the singer is on. The views were great, the singing was great, the experience was awesome. You can't go to Venice and not go on a gondola ride. This was definitely worth it.
