Tour/Package Length: 3 Days

 

 

Day 1 : Normandy motorway. Guided walking tour of the old center of Rouen (Gros Horloge, Cathedral and the square where Joan of Arc was burnt at the Stake). View the newly built Normandy bridge. Honfleur : free time for lunch. After a visit to Rouen and Honfleur, the afternoon will be dedicated to the American Landing Beaches with a visit to Omaha Beach and the American cemetery of Saint-Laurent and a stop at Arromanches where in June 1944, the Allies built an amazing artificial harbour. Caen (visit the Memorial-Peace Museum). Dinner and overnight at Novotel Caen (or similar).
 

Day 2 : Visit to Saint-Malo, city of pirates. Free time for lunch. Guided visit to the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. Dinner and overnight at Angers at the Mercure-Lac de Maine hotel.


Day 3 : Angers (view of the castle from outside). Pass by Cunault and Saumur. Guided visit to Langeais castle. Amboise : lunch on your own. Guided visit to Chenonceau castle. Cheverny. Guided visit to Chambord* castle.
*In October : the Chambord castle is substituted by a visit to Cheverny castle.


This tour includes all guided visits.
Accommodation in 3*** hotels in twin room with bath or show. (a supplement will apply for single accommodation).
