Day :
LISBON
Breakfast in the
hotel. In the morning, guided tour of Lisbon. The
Portuguese capital, won back from the Moors by the first king of
Portugal in 1147, was chosen to replace Coimbra in 1255. The city is
built on 7 hills and offers numerous varied panoramas. Discovery of the
cultural centre of Belém with its famous tower, an architectural jewel
which reminds one of Venice, and the Hieronymite monastery, a
masterpiece of Manuelin art. Lunch. In the afternoon, a panoramic tour
of Lisbon by coach. Nicknamed “the Luminous”, explore it through the
Sao Jorge castle, surrounded by the medieval quarters of Alfama and
Mouraria. Back to the hotel for dinner and accommodation. Free evening.
3rd
Day : LISBON -
COIMBRA - PORTO
Breakfast in the
hotel. Departure by coach for Coimbra, a romantic site
which has inspired many a poet, also famous for its university, which
was one of the most important Humanist centres in the country. Lunch.
In the afternoon, your guide will show you around this charming city
lapped by the waters of the Mandego with its confusion of narrow,
picturesque streets, its cathedral, built in 1598, which offers a
careful melange of Byzantine capitals, Gothic altarpieces and
Renaissance chapels. Departure by coach for Porto. Boarding the boat.
Settling into your cabin and presentation of the crew followed by a
pleasant welcome cocktail served in the lounge and dinner on board. In
the evening, an optional excursion by coach to explore Porto by night.
4th
Day : PORTO -
REGUA
Buffet breakfast on
board. Departure for the optional tour,
“Discovering Porto”, one of the oldest cities in Europe, classed as a
world heritage site by UNESCO: unspoilt old quarters, a maze of winding
narrow streets, arcaded houses, superb churches... But above all, Porto
is Port wine: among the wine properties that extend as far as the eye
can see along the Duoro in Vila Nova de Gaia, we will visit a famous
cellar where this exceptional wine slowly ages. Back to the boat for
lunch. You will be able to admire the fabulous landscapes to be seen
during the cruise to Regua. We will go through the locks in Crestuma
and Carrapatelo, the highest in Europe at 35 metres. Arrival in Regua
around 20h. Gala dinner on board, followed by dancing.

th Day : REGUA - VEGA
DE TERON (Spain)
Buffet breakfast on
board followed by a port wine tasting excursion
(optional). Follow the wine road which runs through the heart of the
vineyards before stopping to sample some of these vintages in a quinta
(wine-cellar) Join the ship again in Ferradossa for lunch . Afternoon
spent cruising through the heart of the famous Porto vineyards, passing
the locks or Valeria and Pocinho, arriving in Vega de Teron in the
evening. Dinner followed by a crew show.

th Day : VEGA DE
TERON
Buffet breakfast on
board. Departure for the optional excursion to
Salamanca, classed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. This town of
dazzling beauty houses some extraordinary Romanesque, Arab and
Christian architectural treasures. Lunch in Salamanca. Back on board
the boat in Vega de Teron. Dinner and a “Spanish theme” evening on
board.

th Day : VEGA DE TERON
- FERRADOSSA- TAVORA - BITETOS
Early morning start
cruising from Vega de Teron and breakfast on board
before arriving in Pinhao for lunch . Depart on an excursion to Vila
Real (optional) famous for the variety of its religious architecture.
Stroll through the beautiful gardens of Solar de Mateus before
returning to the ship in Regua . Cruise towards Bitetos. Admire the
wild landscapes and impressive rocky outcrops along the way. Arrival in
Bitetos and dinner on board and a folk evening.

th Day : BITETOS -
PORTO
Departure of the
cruise for Porto early in the morning. Breakfast on
board. Arrival in Porto around 9h. Disembarkation. End of our journey.
